Hopefully, by now you were able to read the retraction the newspaper printed. I also commented on the typo both on my blog and facebook page. In the recipe, you would use GF all purpose flour. It’s a very yummy cupcake. Sadly, this has drawn negative attention to our newly relocated business. I’m deeply sorry for the mistake. It was not in our control. I can assure you we do not use wheat at all not even in our vegan cupcakes. We are very careful with making sure there is no cross contamination.

I was sorry to read about the zealot at the market. When I noted that GF was not in the recipe I checked your website and noted theGF was left out in the newspaper article. I then tried to e mail the paper but me outbox got backed up so I think the newsherald got 5 emails with my own typo. I spoke to another celiac friend Saturday and she said she’d notified the NH of the typo. I think for your credibility and to make sure they do it you’ll have to let the NH know how important it is for them to write a retraction and I’m sure the extra news coverage can only help your business. The newspaper called and apologized for the typo. It is correct online but accidently was omitted during the printing process. Im so happy you found the website. I printed a retraction on our FB and twitter account. We wanted to make the recipe simple, although it called for more complex flours like almond and sorghum. We wrote it and tested it using Bob Red Mills all purpose GF flour. It was wonderful!

I was looking at your recipe for the Vegan gluten free Chocolate-almond cupcakes in the paper yesterday. I say that you were using “all purpose flour”. How can that be gluten free since all purpose flour is made from wheat?

I love love to eat the creamy non-dairy frosting i make. If you pick up, i will have frosting shots available and i am coating them in chocoalte ganache for an extra treat! Yummy goodness. All for a buck!
